A subsidiary of China Communications Services Corporation Limited ("China Comservice", HKSE code:552), has won the bid recently for a road monitoring project from Saudi Arabia TAHAKOM (The Saudi Technology and Security Comprehensive Control Company), with a project amount of approximately RMB158 million.
The project is invested and constructed by TAHAKOM, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PIF (Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia), and it is committed to providing smart transportation management and smart safe city solutions for Saudi Arabia to enhance road safety and urban governance capabilities.
The construction of TAHAKOM road monitoring project mainly includes the undertaking of the installation and debugging of road monitoring systems, as well as the deployment and upgrading of the national road monitoring network in Saudi Arabia. The project covers the whole process construction of seven milestones, including site survey, design, right of way acquisition, civil construction, installation, debugging, and transition to maintenance, and it also integrates CCTV system, red light monitoring, illegal turning detection, interval speed measurement, truck prohibition system, real-time monitoring, fixed speed measurement, mobile speed measurement, security checkpoint, automatic license plate recognition and many other functions.
As one of the key projects of Saudi Arabia's smart city construction, the implementation of the project can monitor vehicle violations in real time and deal with road traffic accidents in a timely manner, ensure efficient traffic operation, greatly improve Saudi Arabia's transportation infrastructure construction, enhance the level of digital management of road traffic, and help improve the overall urban management level of Saudi Arabia.
